Ethiopia’s Omo Valley is one of the most culturally diverse regions in all of Africa.

On this trip we head into the villages of the various tribes that make up this kaleidoscope of ethnicity, including the Mursi, Karo, Hamer-Benna, Konso, and others, learning about their complex customs and experiencing a way of life very far removed from the rest of the world.

Where possible we visit local markets, one of the best ways to experience life in the Omo Valley. This is a cultural discovery that can rarely be equalled, visiting some of the most remote people in the world, and to spend time among them is an amazing privilege.

This tour gives a fantastic insight into the cultural heritage of this spectacular nation.

I can definitely recommend to go on tour with Simien Image Tour and Travel . I have been on several trips in Ethiopia with this company , both southern Omo Valley and northern Simien mountain and many day trips out of Addis Ababa. My absolute highlight was my 4 days trip in the spectacular Simien Mountain. Besides stunning view and landscapes the guiding was perfect. Everything was well organised, ranging from delicious food , coffee, tents, blankets , sleeping bags etc This is important for the overall experience that made this trip fantastic.
Also my trip to Omo Valley was a well organised tour and it was amazing to meet all the people and the different tribes. To have Alexander as a guide you are guaranteed to have nice experiences. He is a warm and fun person to be around with a lot of knowledge about the history of Ethiopia and the loving people living there.
